It’s time to mark your calendars for Nov. 8 as Soroptimist International of Rockwall presents its highly anticipated fifth annual Black & White Casino Night from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at The Venue at Boyd Farm in Lavon.All proceeds from the fundraiser will support the organization’s community and global projects.Guests will enjoy an unforgettable evening, complete with a buffet dinner, live lounge music and a cash bar. Multiple photo opportunities will be available throughout the night – capturing memories of this glamorous occasion.
The event will also feature the thrilling “Spin It to Win It” game where participants can win prizes such as liquor, wine, gift cards and more. Your ticket purchase includes casino chips for play at 15 casino tables – offering games like Texas hold ’em, black jack, craps, and roulette. One of the organization’s notable projects is the Soroptimist House, which provides rent-free space for the Children’s Advocacy Center for Rockwall County. Additionally, the club offers Live Your Dream scholarships for women who are the primary earners in their households and are pursuing further education or training, as well as scholarships for graduating senior girls. The Soroptimist’s ongoing Dream It Be It program provides mentorship to teen girls while the international KIVA loan initiative helps women globally.
